TASC is looking for a Special Security Representative (SSR) to support our government customer in San Diego, CA. This position will conduct their duties at the government facility. Responsibilities include assisting in the execution and management of all facility security functions including Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) operations, personnel security, program support, physical security, information security, document control, and access control. The SSR implements all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and exhibits the dedication and expectation of excellence required of a seasoned security professional while working and making decisions independently without direct supervision.
This position is also responsible for supporting the government customer with managing and directing security for all Department of Defense classified contracts including associated Special Access Program (SAP) requirements. Responsible for execution of all facility security functions including physical security, information security, program support, document control, and access control.
SSR works as a team player, exhibits flexibility, sets priorities, and manages customer expectations in a fast-paced environment.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility (Clearance Level Required at Start Date Clearable)
Required Skills
Candidate may assist with ensuring the formulation, establishment and execution of security policy, procedures and protocols pertinent to the facility and consistent with applicable Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs)
Ensures all required security support for sensitive compartmented information (SCI) level programs and manage operations of associated SCIF
Emphasis on conducting, administering and addressing personnel security requirements with employees regarding issues, report preparation, program security access briefings, and other related duties as required
Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) classified contracts and DoD SAPs performed therein in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Joint Air Force-Army-Navy (JAFAN) standards and other applicable government directives
Customer liaison (internal/external); determine client/customer security requirements and coordinate security access requests with various government agencies requiring submission of hardcopy requests and frequent telephone contact
Coordinate and perform Visitor Control functions to include processing incoming and outgoing visit requests and verifying incoming visitor identification
Responsible for effective communications regarding security by interfacing with or liaising with external customers (Government, Associate Contractors, Subcontractors)
As required, conduct security education and training
Ensure continuous physical security integrity for facility in general and accredited secure work areas in particular
Oversee accountability of classified documents and media; perform document control functions to include in-processing/out-processing sensitive material and preparing document transmittals and packaging
COMSEC account User duties: Ensure security, custody and control of COMSEC account material and equipment in accordance with government established regulations and/or directives
In coordination with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), ensure all governing directives are adhered to in ensuring continued accreditation of classified computer information systems
Responsible for discretion in handling and the protection of a variety of personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974
Conducts self inspections and represents the security program in government security audits
Investigates security violations and infractions; completes and submits required reports
Required Experience
Minimum Education Requirements BS/BA Degree or Degree may be waived foryears of experience
Minimum of Three (3) to Five (5) years as a SSR is required
Completion of an accredited/approved Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) course
Thorough knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCIDs)
Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Experience using security management software and applications (i.e. Scattered Castles, JPAS)
COMSEC Manager/Custodian experience desired
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and time sensitive deliverables
Information system security and JWICS admin experience desired
Efficient, proactive, responsive team player with excellent written and oral communication skills; able to interface effectively with all levels of corporate management and government customers
Hands on, self-starting, disciplined and detail-oriented individual with ability to work independently in a high volume environment
