Job Description – Graduate Engineer - Replacement Role – The Ochils/The Fells

Working Hours: / Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (37.5 hours p/w)
Main purpose of job: / To support site Manufacturing management teams in achieving target levels for KPIs through the delivery of engineering maintenance, projects and improvements in line with business requirements.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
  1. Line Improvement activity
-Identify and initiate engineering line improvements working with production, maintenance and CI teams
-Manage and participate as appropriate in improvement group activity
-Capture and present improvement savings on an ongoing basis
  1. Engineering Projects
-Identify and initiate engineering projects working with production, maintenance and CI teams
-Carry out commercial and capability analysis on projects to define cost, lead time, viability, benefits and present recommendations on whether to proceed
-Manage and participate in engineering projects delivering against agreed budget and timescales and on completion carry out detailed project review to gain learnings
  1. Facilities
-Gain a clear understanding of facilities setup and equipment in place
-Carry out review of equipment against current maintenance contracts in place identifying any gaps that exist
-Put a proposal forward for closing any identified gaps and the benefit to the company of addressing these
  1. Engineering Maintenance
-Gain a full understanding of both engineering and operator maintenance tasks currently being deployed
-Take a lead role in the review of the current maintenance techniques using RCM approach supported by external resource
-Implement new maintenance techniques identified in the RCM review and roll out to other machinery on site
Key Success Criteria
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline

  1. Valid driving licence

Knowledge
  1. Understanding of engineering equipment utilised in services, bottle blowing, filling, packing and palletisation

  1. Computer literate to an intermediate level of Microsoft office

  1. Understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques

  1. Understanding of project management methodologies including budget management
