EXCUSED ABSENCE MAKE UP WORK POLICY

• Please check school calendars, mail me, stop by during ARIA, or check with a trusted classmate so you may return with assignments prepared for the next class!

Spanish 1A/B is a highschool credit class! It will be part of your GPA! You will need to take initiative to find out any missed assignments before you return to class. Be proactive!

There is no extra credit work to make up for missed homework and I do not accept late work except with an excused absence. Even with an excused absence, it needs to be turned in the next class! Magnet activities and other excused absences excuse you from class, but not from taking time to study, get the assignment, and come prepared to the next class.

• Work, including tests and quizzes, can be made up during class time (when appropriate), but most conveniently during ARIA time on Tuesdays-Fridays.

HOMEWORK

There will be homework assigned for this course. Please check your teacher’s board, class agenda and/ or website, or your study partner(s) to find out what you must do for homework. If you have an excused absence, you must turn it in next day you come to class. If you have an unexcused absence, the lowest possible passing grade will be 70%

GRADING

Your 6-weeks grade (report card) is based on the following:

Tests and Projects35%

Performance/Daily 35%

Quizzes 20%

Homework 10%

CLASS EXPECTATIONS
