The Southwestern 6th Annual Warrior Invitational
Dear Coach,
Southwestern High School is proud to host the 6th Annual Warrior Invitational on Monday May 1st, 2008. We would like to extend an invitation to both your Girls and Boys teams to participate this year. We have excellent group of officials which most officiate the state meet and the Mason Dixon games.
Southwestern has an EIGHT LANE all weather 400 meter rubberized track with excellent field facilities, restrooms at the track, a large concession area and ample parking for buses and fans. There will be invitational shirts for sale also. We are located just off Hwy 27 located right next to beautiful Lake Cumberland and directions can be found on our website at WWW.SOUTHWESTERNHIGH.COM on the top of the page, or you can contact me.
Entry fee is $75.00 per team or $140.00 for Both. A $10.00 dollar late fee will be assessed for entries not in Hy-Tek format. Check should be made to SOUTHWESTERN TRACK TEAM and mailed or delivered to me at the High School. Email all HY-Tek entry’s to Frank Haynes at .
We strive to provide a quality meet for your athletes while at the games. Please note that we are enforcing the uniform rule and no jewelry rule at the Invitational. We have a great group of officials that helps us to provide a high quality meet. We will be awarding the first 8 places awards, the First 3 medals and the next five ribbons ! There will be First place and Runner-up trophies for both boys and girls today. Points score by individual athletes will determine a Girls M.V.P. and a Boys M.V.P. Please remember invitational rules apply, two entries for each team per event. You may have more than one team as some of you have paid for.
Track will open for warm-ups at 4:30 pm.
Coaches meeting will begin at 5:45 pm. at the finish line.
Each school should have representatives present.
Field events will begin at 6:00 p.m. and running events at 6:15 p.m.
A rolling schedule will be followed.
Open Pit format for jumps (4 Jumps No Finals), except the High jump.
No Turbo-Jav Event at this Meet.
A typical order of events will follow a rolling schedule. Awards will be given to the top eight finishers in each event. We will present trophies to the winner and runner-up teams in the boys and girls divisions. Also we will present an overall meet Girls and Boys M.V.P.
Restrooms are available as well as concessions.
