We are currently accepting applications for a Yard Support Team Member at our Redwood Avenue Transfer Station.
This entry level position is responsible for assisting Gate Attendants in their daily interactions with customers, maintaining a clean yard, and facilitating the movement of solid waste coming through the transfer station. Support personnel must present a clean, professional and confident presence while completing the duties outlined below.
· maintaining a clean work/yard environment and equipment
· assisting with greeting incoming customers
· assisting with measuring and pricing loads
· managing customer wait times
· communicating with other staff
· assisting with processing cash payments and reconciliation
The ideal candidate demonstrates a high level of self-initiation, is eager to jump in and help wherever needed, has the attitude that no job is too small, is comfortable with basic mental math, is safety oriented and above all understands the needs of the customer and strives to expediently serve each customer with courtesy and respect.
This is a physical position. Candidates must be able to stand for many hours, lift loads and withstand an outdoor environment for the full shift. This position has the possibility of exposing the candidate to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery.
A valid,driver's license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.
