Meet Conditions and Rules

HELD UNDER ASA LAWS AND TECHNICAL RULES
1. The competition is open to amateurs only as defined by the ASA and will be swum under ASA Laws and ASA Technical Rules. The promoter is South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club.
2. Age is on 1st May 2016 and Age groups are 9yrs, 10yrs, 11yrs, 12yrs. 13yrs. 14yrs. 15/over.
3. This is a first come, first served meet. The promoter reserves the right to limit entries if the meet is oversubscribed. Closing date 31st March 2016
4. Swimmers can only enter an event if they have not achieved a National Qualifying Time in that event.
5. 100 IM, 50 Open Free and Relays are all heat declared winners. All other events will have Finals where the top 6 finishers will qualify.
6. Points are awarded to the finalists with 6 points for 1st down to 1 point for 6th.
7. Trophies will be awarded to the first 6 in all events apart from the Relays where medals will be awarded to the first 3.
8. Top Boy and Girl trophies will be awarded in each age group.
9. Relays must consist of 2 boys and 2 girls in the appropriate age group and will be seeded randomly.
10. The Meet will be cardless and a list of entries will be posted on the South Lincs Website www.slcsc.co.uk
11. Over the top starts may be used at the promoter’s discretion.
12. Pool length is 25m (6 lanes) and is equipped with electronic timing and anti-wave lane ropes. All events start and finish at the deep end of the pool. Swimmers must not leave the pool by climbing over the time pads.
13. This meet will operate as a cardless meet. Coaches are asked to supply a list of any swimmers not competing to the meet promoter 40 minutes before the start of each session to prevent empty lanes,
14. Competitors must report to the Competitor Stewards when they are called. Any competitor not reporting in time may be excluded.
15. Each Club must provide 1 Official for the weekend for every 10 swimmers.
16. SLCSC uses a computer to manage entries and results. By submitting and accepting entries to the meet consent is hereby given, as required by the Data Protection Act 1998, to the holding of personal information on computer. Personal data handled such as name, club, recorded and entered times may be made public during or after the meet.
17. Coaches Passes are £20.00 per weekend with food or £10 per weekend without food. Maximum of 3 passes per club.
18. Entry Fee is £6 per individual event and £6 per Relay Team.
19. No entries will be accepted on the day including Relays
20. A swim shop will be in attendance.
21. There is no spectator entry fee. Seats are allocated pro-rata per club. NO GLASS ALLOWED ON POOLSIDE
22. Any point not covered in these rules is at the discretion of the organisers
