REGISTRATION

  • Students need to register with the name that appears on their license, give their residence address, Real Estate license number, last four digits of their social security number, and principal broker, if applicable.
  • If there is a payment required for the course, it must be paid with the registration or you will not be registered for the class.
  • Upon receipt of the completed registration form, you will receive one email verifying that your registration is received. Please make a note in your calendar of the date, time and place of the course you have registered for,
  • Each class will have a specific registration/withdrawal cutoff date. You must register by that date in order to be in the class, as course material is printed up only for the number of registrations received. If after registering for a course you find you cannot attend, you must cancel in writing by the cancelation date, or you will be charged the full regular cost of the class(es).
  • Registration and admittance to class MUST be denied to any student arriving more than 10 minutes late.

KREC classroom Rules

1.CLASSROOM RULES

  • Class will start at the designated time.
  • Registration materials will be removed from sign-in tableafter registration session has been closed.
  • One 10-minute break is allowed for each 50 minutes of instruction.
  • A head count will be taken after each break period.

2. ANNOUNCE HOUSE RULES

  • Classroom should be free from disturbances and inappropriate behavior. This is the monitor’s responsibility, as well as the instructor’s.
  • Cell phones, pagers or other electronic devices are to be turned off.
  • No disturbing conversations between students.
  • No other reading materials are allowed but course outline/materials.
  • Students are discouraged from leaving classroom during instruction; 10-minute breaks are given

after every 50 minutes of instruction.

  • Students returning 10 minutes late from lunch or breaks will not be allowed to return to the classroom.
  • Students barred for violations of the House Rules cannot receive continuing education credit.

The instructor and monitor have the responsibility to enforce the House Rules, and the authority to warn and then remove any student who does not comply. At any time, the course could be monitored by someone from KREC to ensure that the rules that they have set forth are being followed. Failure to follow the rules could result in the student being asked to leave the classroom, the student being denied credit for the class even if they have completed the course, or the association being denied the opportunity to offer courses in the future.
