Some important things about homestay accommodation:

  • Our hosts don’t live in the city centre. This means you will need to take a bus or train to the College. It can take between 20 minutes and 50 minutes to travel to the College every day.
  • Our hosts are fluent English speakers and come from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Some of our hosts are families with children, some are retired couples and some are single people living alone. Please tell us if you have a preference for a more traditional family (father, mother and children).
  • Some of our hosts have more than one student staying with them. If there are other students at your home stay accommodation, they won’t speak the same language as you.
  • Most of our hosts are working people. This means that they can be very busy, especially if they have children to take care of. However, they will sit and chat to you whenever possible.
  • We try to select a host for you who matches your preferences so please complete the Accommodation Preferences section carefully using each number just once.
