Spheros launches new burner replacement scheme
As good as new
IAA Commercial Vehicles, September 2016 Spheros has launched a new burner replacement scheme for all heaters in the Thermo series. Worn-out burner heads will be refurbished and replaced in original parts quality as a contribution to environmental friendliness and cost-efficiency.
In the new replacement scheme customers will have the opportunity to exchange their old heater burner head for a factory refurbished unit, accompanied by a renewed one-year factory warranty. In addition, the consistent replacement of all wearing parts such as fuel pump, drive, etc. is guaranteed – in 100% original parts quality. Fast availability ensures plannable replacement in the vehicle.
The burner replacement scheme was launched in September 2016, initially for all heaters in the Thermo series. By the end of the year it will be extended to include the Thermo S.
So how does the replacement scheme work in practice?
The bus operator orders a replacement burner of his choice from the Spheros dealer and pays for it, including a deposit that will be refunded immediately after the used part is returned to the Spheros partner. The dealer delivers an original Spheros replacement burner to the bus operator and submits the used part for refurbishing. In conformance with strict Spheros quality standards, all refurbished burners are subjected to the same processes, measurements and tests as a serial product.
In future, the operator will have three service and spare parts options:
- Refurbishment of heater burners at cost and warranty on replaced parts by a certified Spheros partner
- Brand new ET heater burners with a 2-year warranty
- Factory refurbished heater burners in the replacement-deposit scheme with a 1-year warranty.
