Course Description
This class will prepare students for the multimedia-rich workplace by teaching them multimedia concepts as well as business-standard software applications to complete projects and solve problems. The students will work in teams to produce Web-based products for real business clients. The class will also introduce free Web 2.0 tools that can be used in the workplace.
Grading Procedure
The percentage grading system will be used in accordance with school district policy. Incomplete work must be completed within the teacher’s satisfaction before a grade will be assigned.
In-class assignments, participation/portfolios, projects, homework, and tests will be graded. Your grade will be based on all of the points you have earned from graded work. Final grades are based on total points accumulated by successfully completing the assignments. Each thing will be weighted equally. The following scale will determine grading for course: 90-100%=A; 80-89%=B; 70-79%=C; 60-69%=D; 0-59%=F
All of the points that you have earned in the semester will be added together and divided by the total number of points possible, and then converted into a percentage.
Example: 576 (Your Total Points Earned)
600 (Total Points Possible)
All students are required to do their own work on tests, class assignments, and homework. All students submitting another students’ work will result in a zero for that particular assignment.
Unsatisfactory grade reports will be issued to any student who has a grade of 69 percent or less at the time the report is to be issued. If a student does not earn a grade of 60 percent or better, credit will be loss for the course. Excessive absence from class may result in a loss of credit.
Grade Distribution:
90 – 100% =A
80 – 89% =B
70 – 79% =C
60 – 69% =D
0 -- 59% =F
