ANNOUNCEMENT OF DRIVING AND PARKING REGULATIONS

at Stiftelsen Emma Hjorth Housing Cooperative properties.

The current driving and parking regulations were implemented in the summer of 2002. Changed 12.09.16.

After receiving tenant feedback, our impression is that the new regulations are working well.

As everyone is probably aware, we have a “shortage” of parking spaces, and this is why everyone must keep these regulations.

These are not new regulations, but are instead a specification / clarification of the existing rules:

General rules:

The parking permit is attached at the bottom left of the front license plate. Temporary parking permits must be clearly visible in the front windscreen.

All tenants and guests must follow the relevant rules for driving and parking at housing cooperative property. A parking ticket will be issued if the rules are broken, and the vehicle may be towed in severe cases.

The parking area is only intended for cars with a total weight of up to 3500 kg.

The entire area is signposted with the driving and parking regulations.

All registered cars must have a parking permit.

A new permit must be picked up from the housing office when changing cars or replacing a front windscreen.

The parking company performs daily inspections of the housing area.

Unregistered cars, transport/camping/boat trailers and campervans are not permitted on housing cooperative property and will be towed.

If you are visiting others in the area, you should avoid driving there as the parking permit/permission only applies to the car park affiliated with the apartment you live in. Parking tickets will be issued in the event of a parking violations.

Parking in the parking garages:

Everyone who uses a car (up to 2 cars per family) must collect a permit at the housing office.

Tenants who are given a space in the parking garage must use the space.

Only registered cars may park in the parking garages.

Unregistered cars can be towed without prior notice at the owner’s expense and liability.

The housing office encourages tenants who are not using a car to rent out their parking garage space to other tenants at the property.

We have received demands from the Asker and Bærum fire department to only permit one set of wheels and ski stands for each car at the parking garage.

Gasoline, oil, windscreen washer fluid and similar items cannot be stored due to fire hazard concerns.

Repairing cars within the parking garage is forbidden.

Parking at the guest parking spaces:

Guests can park at the outside parking spaces for up to 3 consecutive 24-hour days starting from when they initially park, regardless of whether the car is moved in this period.

To park for another 3 consecutive days, the car must be away from the area for at least 3 whole days.

To park for longer than 3 days, a temporary parking permit must be collected from the housing office and placed at a clearly visible position in the front windscreen.

Driving, parking within the housing area:

Completely necessary driving / parking at the residence for offloading and loading is permitted for up to 15 minutes.

To parking for longer than 15 minutes, a temporary parking permit must be collected from the housing office and placed at a clearly visible position in the front windscreen.

Driving or parking on grass yards, playgrounds, park areas and similar locations is not permitted.

The highest speed permitted at the housing area is 10 km/h.

All parked vehicles that have been vacated, transport/camping and boat trailers, etc., that prevent driving and regular movement at the residence in question, and outside side roads, will immediately be given a parking ticket.

Authorised service vans with a valid parking permit will be permitted to park outside of the valid parking areas on the condition that they do not prevent free travel.
