E.REPORTS RELATED TO EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MATTERS

E.01.Disposal of Reserve Land Pursuant to Section 674 and 675 of the Municipal Government Act (as amended) North of 157A Avenue, West of 72A Street.

There were no persons present to speak to the passing of the resolution on the disposal of reserve land.

L.1.a.Bylaw No. 11206 - To amend the Land Use Bylaw from AG (Agricultural) District to AGU (Urban Reserve) District and RF1 (Single Detached Residential) District; for a site located north of 160 Avenue and east of 82 Street, Mayliewan.

There were no persons present to speak to the passing of Bylaw No. 11206.

L.1.b.Bylaw No. 11202 - To amend the Land Use Bylaw from DC5 (Site Specific Development Control) District and AP (Public Parks) District to CB2 (General Business) District, AP (Public Parks) District and RSL (Residential Small Lot) District; for a site located at 11704 114 Avenue, Prince Rupert.

C. Mitchell; Prince Rupert Community League, J. Brown and M. Hundert, IBI Group, were in attendance to speak in favour of the passing of Bylaw No. 11202.

L.1.c.Bylaw No. 11183 - To amend the Land Use Bylaw from RR (Rural Recreation and Open Space) District (County of Strathcona) to IM (Medium Industrial) District and A (Metropolitan Recreation) District, for a site located west of 25 Street and south of 80 Avenue, Southeast Annexed Industrial.

There were no persons present to speak to the passing of Bylaw No. 11183.

Mayor Smith asked whether there was any objection to Bylaw Nos. 11205, 11101 and 11102 being read together. No one objected.

L.1.d.Bylaw No. 11205 - To close a portion of 71 Street and a portion of Mount Lawn Road, south of Fort Road and east of Yellowhead Trail, Yellowhead Corridor.

L.1.e.Bylaw No. 11101 - To amend Bylaw No. 7044, as amended, being the Yellowhead Corridor Area Structure Plan, Yellowhead Corridor.

L.1.f.Bylaw No. 11102 - To amend the Land Use Bylaw from IM (Medium Industrial) District and IH (Heavy Industrial) District to DC5 (Site Specific Development Control) District; for an area located south of Fort Road, west of 66 Street, north of the Light Rail Transit Line and east of Yellowhead Trail, Yellowhead Corridor.

D. Cockrill and G. Dub, Dub Architects Ltd., were in attendance to answer questions in favour of the passing of Bylaw Nos. 11205, 11101 and 11102.

L.1.g.Bylaw No. 11219 - To Close a Portion Laneway, abutting Lot 105, Block 68, Plan 942 3466; located west of 82 Street and north of 158 Avenue, Belle Rive.

There were no persons present to speak to the passing of Bylaw No. 11219.

L.BYLAWS

PURPOSE

To allow for the development of single detached residential dwellings and a school/park site.

PURPOSE

To allow single family dwellings on the southern portion and a shopping centre on the northern portion of the site. The AP District will accommodate a public park.

PURPOSE

To allow a range of medium industrial uses on the proposed IM lands and designate the lands adjacent to the Gold Bar Creek as metropolitan recreation district.

L.1.d.Bylaw No. 11205 - To close a portion of 71 Street and a portion of Mount Lawn Road, south of Fort Road and east of Yellowhead Trail, Yellowhead Corridor.

PURPOSE

To allow for the closure area to be sold and consolidated with the adjacent parcels.

L.1.e.Bylaw No. 11101 - To amend Bylaw No. 7044, as amended, being the Yellowhead Corridor Area Structure Plan, Yellowhead Corridor.

PURPOSE

To delete a portion of a special study area designation (Study Area No. 3) for a 15.5 ha area and replace it with a direct control general commercial designation.

PURPOSE

To allow general commercial uses on the subject sites, with site specific development controls.

L.1.g.Bylaw No. 11219 - To Close a Portion Laneway, abutting Lot 105, Block 68, Plan 942 3466; located west of 82 Street and north of 158 Avenue, Belle Rive.

PURPOSE

To close a portion of a laneway turnaround. Once closed, the area will become part of the proposed subdivision to the north.

L.1.h.Bylaw No. 11188 -To Amend the Land Use Bylaw from RF1 (Single Detached Residential) District to CNC (Neighbourhood Convenience Commercial) District; for a site located at 10845 - 61 Avenue, Pleasantview.

PURPOSE

To allow neighbourhood convenience commercial uses on the site.

W.T. Candler, representing Allegheny Holdings (in favour); A. Slemko, Pleasantview Community League, P. Brown, B. Lefebvre, M. Lee, J. Round, Allendale Community League, L. Maltby, Parkallen Community League and M. Ould (in opposition) were in attendance to speak to the passing of Bylaw No. 11188.

L.1.i.Bylaw No. 11180 - To Close and Sell a Portion of Country Club Road, located south of Wanyandi Road and east of Wilken Road, adjacent to the Edmonton Country Club, Oleskiw.

PURPOSE

To consolidate the area with the adjacent Edmonton Country Club lands so that it will become a private roadway to the Club allowing access to the property.

K. Fraser, representing Edmonton Country Club Limited, was in attendance to answer questions in favour of the passing of Bylaw No. 11180.

L.1.j.Bylaw No. 11204 - To Amend the Land Use Bylaw from RF1 (Single Detached Residential) District to RSL (Residential Small Lot) District; for a site located at 3125 - 137 Avenue and 3203 - 137 Avenue, Belmont.

PURPOSE

To allow small lot residential development.

L. Newton, IMC Consulting Group, was in attendance to answer questions in favour of the passing of Bylaw No. 11204.
