SJMSAA Main Board Meeting:
Next meeting will beOctober 18th , 2016 starting at 6pm at the Watson Real Estate Office on CR210. This is a monthly meeting.
Please review the meeting date to ensure you can attend. If you cannot attend, please try to have someone attend in your place. Sports Directors can send a representative to give your monthly report.

- Executive Board Report:
Presidents Report: Justin Palesotti
1)Soccer budget approved for upcoming season
2)Website issues are being evaluated to correct issues had with soccer registration
3)Baseball submitted budget for Fall Baseball/ Budget discussion has been tabled until Fall Registration can be documented by the Baseball Commissioner
4)Marketing Plan for SJMSAA is being finalized and still in process of being formulated
5)Approved Shanna Scott as Assistant Treasurer for SJMSAA: Motion to approve: Dave Jarrett: Seconded: Rick Butler: Motion passed
6)Discussed compensation package with Darick Dunham to continue to maintain the field at Murray. Darick Dunham to present a proposal to board for approval. Decision is tabled until after football season
7)Christopher “Scott” Sutton approved as new Patriot Oaks Academy Athletic Director and requested email addresses of all past coaches for sports to let them know he is new AD. Email addresses to be provided by Justin Palesotti
8)All questions regarding open tryouts for all sports to be forwarded to sports commissioners moving forward.
9)Discussion regarding dissolution of JV Football Program for the coming sports year, 2017-2018, was tabled until more information regarding financials and overall competitive standing of the program can be assessed.
10)Prospective candidate for Softball Commissioner is discussed. Alicia Barone. Confirmation to the position to be held at interview session at a later date
11)Scholarship amount for future has been agreed on and approved to be 50% of the sport specific normal registration fee. Motion to Approve: Jane Rogers: Seconded : Rick Butler
12)Football Officials and overall officiating of games to be discussed and was tabled until after the season. Discussion to be about safety issues.

A)Discussed Parent/ Coach Altercation which took place after SebastianMiddle School game between parents and head coach Joey White and team mom Devon White. Initial talks focused on cancelling the next game with Murray Middle which would be held at St. AugustineHigh School. Devon White, team mom for Sebastian and wife of head coach Joey White asked and requested that the game be played. Board agreed to let Athletic Director for St. JohnsCounty decide since the game was being played at St. AugustineHigh School and would need approval from the county to move forward with the game. County approved and the game was played with no issues reported.
