Product Specifications

SIMO GAS TURBO POWER UNIT

  1. The power unit will consist of a hydraulic radial piston pump supplied with a gravity fed reservoir & driven by an engine with a two-stage circuit.
  2. The engine shall be a 4 stroke 5.7 HP (4.2 kw) at 3300 rpm, Subaru Robin EX17 with a chain driven overhead cam and features an advanced cooling system allowing for 360 airflow around the exhaust and intake valve stem areas and extends to the underside of the mounting basepromoting longer engine life. The engine shall carry a manufacturer’s warranty of Three (3) Years. The engine shall be outfitted with a pull cord recoil starter.
  3. The hydraulic pump is to be a two-stage radial piston pump. The two-flow pumps used are equipped with two pressure cycles per pump capacity. The maximum working pressure to the pump will be limited by a pressure control valve set to 5,000psi (35 MPa) or (700 bar). The low pressure stage shall shift up to 2,031 psi (14 MPa) or (160 bar) for faster operation. Switch-over from low to high pressure mode is carried out automatically in the pump.
  4. The control valve allows the switching from simultaneous two (2) tool operation to a single turbo mode with increased flow thereby increasing the operation speed of a singledevice; this can be achieved with a shift lever located between the two outlets. The TURBO function is activated by turning the large lever towards the connection that requires double the fluid quantity.
  5. The power unit pump is equipped with a two pressure levels for each pump capacity. Two (2) tools can be operated simultaneously and independently of each other and are able to obtain full pressure and flow without interrupting or decreasing the performance of the other circuit. The valves are permanently installed in a connecting block; the block is integrated directly in the hydraulic unit.
  6. The oil flow rate for simo mode shall be 2 x 0.95 Gal/min (2 x 3.6 L/min) in low pressure stage at 2,031 psi(14 MPa) and 2 x 0.4 Gal/min (2 x 1.5 L/min) in the high pressure stage at 5,000 psi (35 MPa). The oil flow rate for turbo mode shall be 1 x 1.90 Gal/min (1 x 7.2 L/min) in the low pressure stage at 2,031 psi (14 MPa) and 1 x 0.77 Gal/min (1 x 2.9 L/min) in the high pressure stage at 5,000 psi (35 MPa).
  7. The power unit must use ONLY genuine Hurst Blue® hydraulic fluid being a patented polyether polyol chemistry, providing additives which provide rust oxidation protection and superior anti-wear properties. Hurst Blue® is FMRC approved as a less hazardous hydraulic fluid, 100% synthetic, readily biodegradable, fire resistant, and electrically non-conductive, non-corrosive operating medium.
  8. The reservoir shall be of blow-molded plastic construction, the capacity for hydraulic oil must be no more than 1.5 gal (5.5 liters) with a usable volume of no less than 1.3 gal (4.8 liters).
  9. The unit shall be equipped with three levers on the connecting block. 2independent control valves and 2 independent dump valves. The single large switch is responsible for controlling the TURBO function. The capability of switching from simultaneous two (2) tool operation to a single (1) tool turbo modewith increased flow shall be achieved with a shift lever located between the two outlets. The TURBO function is activated by turning the large lever towards the connection that requires double the fluid quantity.
  10. The unit shall be equipped with two (2) Streamline® mono-coupling connections. Only the female mono-couplings are mounted on the connecting block of the power unit.
  11. The Streamline® mono-couplings shall be made of machined aluminum and hardened steel. The mono-coupling system shall have an interlocking push-twist positive locking capability allowing the twin hose to be connected into a single coupling for safe and quick connection of hydraulic hoses.
  12. The power unit shall be protected by a standard heavy-duty tubular steel roll cage frame. The frame must surround the engine, reservoir & pump to protect the unit while being stored and operated.
  13. The power unit dimensions shall not be longer than 19.1” (485 mm) or wider than 17.3” (440 mm) or higher than 17.5” (445 mm).
  14. The power unit shall be able to tolerate an ambient temperature range of -4°F (-20°C) up to +131° F (+55°C)
  15. Noise emissions measured at a distance of 13’ (4 m) no load operation generated 76 dB(A), full load generated 81 dB(A). Noise emissions measure at a distance of 3’ (1 m) no load operation generated 81 dB(A), full load generated 87 dB(A).
  16. The gasoline capacity is 0.44 Gal (1.65 L).
  17. The power unit shall be certified as compliant with NFPA 1936, 2015 Edition and shall be labeled as such bearing the mark of TUV, the independent testing agency.
  18. The power unit shall not weigh more than 83.8lbs (38kg) includingoil.
