Getting Listserve Email
and
Accessing the Listserve Web Site
They are Not the Same
Yahoo will let you sign up for a Listserve and get email even if you do not have or use a Yahoo ID. That is, just by using your email address, you can receive an invitation to join a list and respond and start to receive messages at that address.
However, to use other services of the Listserve, you need to get a Yahoo ID and be served advertisements that Yahoo uses to finance its operations. These services include looking at the files, photos and databases on the Listserve website and using the Yahoo search tools.
So, if you are already getting emails and want web access, what do you do?
If you do not have a Yahoo ID, get one. See Page 3.
If you have a Yahoo ID, use the membership wizard found at
Sign in using the Yahoo ID
Make sure your email address is shown on the list
It will locate groups that do not have an email address on the list and lead you through connecting them to your Yahoo ID.
