Welcome to “Some Like it Hot”. We hope your weekend is enjoyable.

Registration deskwill be open on Friday 11th at8.00am and throughout the day and on Saturday from 8.00 to 8.45am. It will be located outside the Grand Ballroom on level 1.

Friday WorkshopsThe workshops start at 9.00am sharp and run through to 5.00pm, with a catered lunch in the Pool Deck Restaurant, level 3 and catered tea breaks.

Debbie Macomber’s and Paula Eykelhof’s workshop is located in the Grand Ballroom, Level 1. Miriam Kriss’s workshop is located in Paradise Room 1 and 2 on the same level.

Harlequin’s “Golden Age of Cinema” Cocktail Party

From 7.00 – 9.00pm. An opportunity to dress-up, walk the red carpet and launch the conference in style. The venue is the hotel’s Broadbeach Room on level 3, just near the pool.Don’t forget your ticket. No admission without ticket.

Weekend Conference

Each day starts at 8.45am. Please be prompt. Name tags will be numbered and there will be lucky prize draws throughout the conference. Catered lunches will be served in the Pool Deck Restaurant, level 3. Morning and afternoon are also catered.

Awards Dinner

From 7.00pm for 7.30 until 10.30pm. We celebrate all RWA’s 2005/06 contest winners, including the winners of the prestigious Emerald andRBY Awards. The venue is the Grand Ballroom. Entry is by ticket only so don’t forget to wear your nametag. No admission without ticket.

First Conference?Is this your first conference? Daunted? Lucy Forster is this year’s “newbie” liaison.She’s here to help make your conference experience one to remember. When you register on Friday or Saturday morning, let us know you’d like to be included in her group. They’ll meet at 8.15am on Saturday morningso register early.

Special Food Requirements The Sofitel has a list of people who have indicated a special food requirement on their registration forms. This list is now final. Please identify yourself to wait staff at breaks and your food will be brought to you.

Editor/Agent Pitches You will be notified of your pitch time on registration.Please be punctual for these sessions, as the time slots will be strictly adhered to.Group appointments with Miriam Kriss or Paula Eykelhof will be 15 minutes with 5 participants. You'll have a window of 3 minutes to wow them with your pitch so make sure it's polished until it sparkles.
