Approval of Meeting Minutes from Previous Meeting:

Bill Streets mentioned spelling changes regarding the BDA’s at the Lorelton and Stonegates. Motion by Bill Carrow, second by Andy Fulton to accept April’s minutes as modified. Motion passed unanimously.

Project Updates:

o  700MHz / 800MHz Systems - Tom Kadunce

o  BDA - Beth Duncan

o  Radio Turn-in – Bill Carrow

Tom Kadunce advised the 700 & 800 systems are operating normally. The site fortification project is ahead of schedule and 2 of the 3 phases of cutover have been completed. On June 4, 2014 we will switch from the 2 card to a 3 card cage CEB which is the final step. We experienced a problem with muffled console audio last week which was corrected. We currently have an issue with aliases displaying at U of D and Newark PD, and the problem is being addressed.

Beth Duncan briefed on BDA project. Commissioning is underway for Stonegates and Lorelton. The site walks for Dover High and Woodbridge have been done and hope to be complete by 8/14. There was a site walk through Mispillion Elementary School and it failed. The school had not been tested previously, and DIVCOM is identifying any other schools that may not have been tested previously. Regarding the motion from the April meeting regarding the committee’s desire to provide for full BDA installation in the (3) private nursery schools (Lil Red Hen, Panda Early Ed and Edu Care) with a cap of $120,000.00, Beth reported a total cost estimate of $65,800. The issue will be placed on the agenda for the next SIEC meeting in June.

Bill Carrow, DivComm reported the radio turn-in program is going very well. DSP has confirmed they plan to purchase new radios under this program and they will turn in upwards of 100 legacy portable radios.
