“SIDEWALK CHALK ART CONTEST”
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Ø Space is somewhat limited, entries will be processed in the order they are received.
Ø Entry fee is $10 per sidewalk “square” (approximately 5’x4’).
Ø More than one artist may work as a team and participate under one registration on one square.
Ø Artists must use their own chalk. (Non oil-based chalk/pastels ONLY-NO paint or other media of any kind.)
Ø Entries will be judged on artistic quality. Judge(s)’ ruling is final.
Ø Artwork must be approved by the Chamber officials prior to starting. *You may submit a drawing sample along with signed rules and regulations form.
Ø Artwork must be appropriate for viewing by all ages. No obscenity, offensive or inappropriate material or artist will be asked to leave and no money will be refunded.
Ø Contest begins at 10am and ends at 2pm. Drawing must be stopped by 2pm.
Ø Artists may sign their work and use hairspray to seal it.
Ø Judging will commence at 2pm. Winners will be announced and awards will be given on or before 5pm.
Ø Event organizers reserve the right to take and use photographs for marketing, promotion and publicity.
BREAKING THE RULES RESULTS IN DISQUALIFICATION. NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND.

PHOTOGRAPHY RELEASE: I irrevocably consent to and authorize the use and reproduction by the Berne Chamber of any and all photographs which you have or will take of me on July 25, 2015 for any purpose without restriction and without compensation to me. I release claim to all files, negatives and prints in any form and indemnify, hold harmless and discharge all persons associated with the Berne Chamber, including any firm publishing said photographs even though they may be blurry or distorted and subject me to any type of public scrutiny, including scorn, ridicule, scandal, reproach or indignity. I hereby waive any right to approve any finished photograph(s) or copy which might be used in conjunction with said photograph(s).

I realize that all fees are non-refundable. I take full responsibility for myself and any person with me. I hereby release the Berne Chamber, all employees, any workers or volunteers associated with the festival from any and all liabilities arising from any occurrences, claims, losses, theft, damages, injury and accident, including death resulting from participation in the Swiss Days “Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest”.
