INTERESTED IN NETWORKING OR EARNING CREDITS FOR RECERTIFICATION (for HRCI and SHRM-CP/SCP)?

THEN WE NEED YOU TO HELP MAKE OUR CONFERENCE A SUCCESS!!!

WE ARE NOW ASKING SHRM-MEMPHIS MEMBERS TO VOLUNTEER FOR THE COMMITTEE THAT INTERESTS YOU THE MOST.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

REGISTRATION: Registering attendees, checking attendees in, troubleshooting problems/answering questions at registration (Varying shifts available).

EXHIBITIONS: Helping exhibitors unload/load their equipment, directing them to their location in the Exhibit Hall, answering their questions.

PROGRAMS: Picking up speaker(s) at airport and bring them to the convention center; directing them to the Speaker Room, ensuring that the speaker’s requests are filled (e.g. any AV equipment needed for their presentation, any handouts that need to be distributed, etc.); introducing the speakers at the session, and after the seminar, preparing the room (pick up trash, etc.) for the next session.

FACILITIES: Ensuring that the temperatures are at a comfortable level for each break out session, and that facilities are ready for all conference sessions. As exhibitors/caterers, etc. unload at the loading dock, make sure the dock is ready for the next drop off.

AMBASSADORS: Acting as hospitality/greeters throughout the convention area, helping participants with directions to rooms, rest rooms, conference activities, etc., as well as any questions they may have regarding the conference and Memphis in general, especially places to see and things to do

BAGGING: Packing “freebies” in the State Conference bags that will be issued to enrollees. This will be done several days PRIOR to the conference kicking off.

VOLUNTEER ROOM: Ensuring that the room is stocked with water, snacks, food, and security of personal effects (e.g. purses, laptops, etc.). There will always be one person in the room for security purposes.

BOOKSTORE: Selling SHRM and other related books/merchandise, taking book orders, setting up tables for any special book signings and coordinating the book signing process

SOCIAL: Hosted at the exciting and stunning Bass Pro Pyramid, volunteers are needed to direct the participants to the social area, ensure the room for the social is set up, and check people in for the social.
