Introduction to Olympic Package (First Package):

Evan:

Hello, I’m Evan Weston, and this is The Truth Serum. We take you now to a global sports story that has very local roots. The West Windsor and Plainsboro Townships have always been supporters of student involvement in athletics. Recreational and travel sports leagues, Mercer County Park, and countless other groups train athletes to make the most of their skills. This focus has allowed locals to take their game to higher levels. Los Angeles Lakers basketball player Andrew Bynum was a freshman at High School North. San Francisco Dragons professional lacrosse player Matt Lalli grew up and learned his game in Princeton Junction. 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics gold medalist Rebecca Soni began swimming in Plainsboro. But, these mainstream athletics often overshadow sports that are still developing their participation and popularity. For example, ping pong. WWPH-TV reporter Christina Fan gives us an inside look at West Windsor resident David Zhuang’s passion for ping-pong, and his rise to the Olympic level.

Introduction to Recycling Package (Second Package):

Evan:

Welcome back to the Truth Serum on WWPH-TV. Throughout the past decade, the global community has become increasingly involved with the efforts of an exploding movement- environmentalism. Thousands of conservationist groups around the world work to fight against pollution, deforestation, animal extinction, and the many other threats to Earth’s ecological system. But to this day, most people tribute the growing influence of environmentalism to recycling, an effort that took off in the 1970s. WWPH-TV reporter Jeffrey Yu takes a look at how even local recycling can play a crucial part in preserving global resources.

Conclusion

Evan:

West Windsor Olympic ping-pong player David Zhuang’s love for his game and the local recycling initiatives that help contribute to the expanding movement of environmentalism are both stories that show us how striving high can really produce results.

And with that the Truth Serum has run out. This has been Evan Weston for WWPH-TV. Thank you for watching, and we’ll see you next time.
