Fourth Round of Admission

The Fourth Round of Admission to fill the vacant seats and the seats which may fall vacant for following M.Sc. (Applied Statistics & Informatics) Part-I, courses will be conducted on Monday the 3rd Aug., 2015. Candidates as per the following General Merit Numbers as well as Category Merit Numbers will be considered for Fourth Round of Admission at the respective Departments.

Impartment Note:
A)  The above candidates have been called for filling in the vacancies against Open/reserved seats at Department of Statistics, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
B)  Seats will be allotted subject to availability of vacancies.
Preparation of Merit List for Selection to M. Sc. Applied statistics and informatics
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate at the Entrance examination conducted by Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
In case of two or more candidates have equal marks at the entrance examination, the following procedure shall be used for deciding merit number in the merit list.
I: Total marks obtained at the third year examination (B. Sc. Part III marks excluding English) in Statistics shall be considered. If the tie still continues, then:
II: Total marks obtained at the B. Sc. Part I, B. Sc. Part II and B.Sc. Part III (Excluding English) shall be considered. If the tie still continues, then:
III: Total marks obtained at the B.Sc. Part II in Statistics shall be considered. If the tie still continues, then:
IV: Total marks obtained at the B.Sc. Part I in Statistics shall be considered.
Note: Candidates have to produce original mark sheets as the case may be.
Students as specified above should report for the Fourth Round on the day, time and place mentioned above. No separate intimation will be sent to the students.
1. / Only those students who are called and personally present on the day and time specified above will be considered for admission. The students called for admission round should note that the admission will be offered on merit and will be subject to availability of seats and their fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
2. / The students will have to produce the receipt of payment of the fees for the Entrance Examination. Those who have not paid the Entrance Examination fees will not be considered for admission.
3. / Those students who are offered admission will have to submit original relevant certificates (including mark sheet) along with Xerox copies and collect their Admission Letter on the same day. The OBC/NT(C)/NT (D) candidates will also have to submit Non Creamy layer certificate. They will have to make payment of the fees as prescribed in prospectus immediately thereafter.
4. / In each round of admission the admissions for General Category seats will be made first, followed by admission for the reserve category seats.
5. / Inter conversion of reserved category seats and final conversion of any seats remaining vacant in any of the reserved category into General category will be done immediately after Fourth Round of Admission on the same day, of the same place at the same time, as per Govt. /University Rules.
Hostel Admission:-
The admitted students will be given Hostel Admission on merit as per the Hostel quota allotted to each dept., at the time of admission it self. All the female students admitted to the course, if in need of Hostel accommodation, will be given Hostel Admission at the time of admission itself.
