Pecans readily absorb moisture and gases or odours from the atmosphere which may change flavour, colour, texture or stability. Therefore it is advised that they should be stored separately where possible.

Pecan nuts can be successfully defrosted and re-frozen many times throughout a 2 year period without any loss of flavour or quality.
