We are excited to invite youto be one of our select participants in the “Great American Bake Sale National Challenge Event” event at SouthParkShopping Mall on Sunday, August 7th from 2 – 6 pm hosted by Good Eats & Meets-Charlotte. This is a fun, family-friendly event,which will include the sale of both savory and sweet baked treats by some of Charlotte’s premier restaurants and bakeries to benefit Share Our Strength’s work to end childhood hunger.

Share Our Strength's Great American Bake Sale®, presented by Domino® Sugar, C&H® Sugar, and Duncan Hines®, is a national effort that encourages Americans to host bake sales in their communities year-round to support the No Kid Hungry® Campaign, Share Our Strength’s® national effort to end childhood hunger in America by 2015. Since 2003, more than 1.7 million people have participated in Great American Bake Sale, raising more than $6 million to make sure there is no kid hungry in America. Great American Bake Sale is supported by official bakeware partner Chicago Metallic, national television partner Food Network, national magazine partner Family Circle, and official baking ingredient partner Solo. If you accept our invitation, we promise to make your involvement as seamless and efficient as possible. We would request the use of your restaurant or bakery name in press and promotional materials including a copy of your logo (jpeg and eps format), 25 to 30 dozen packaged samples ofyoursweet and/or savory treats(or as much product as possible) and a donation to our silent auction with a retail value of $50-100. Tickets for all bake sale items will be on sale for $1 each or $10 for 13 – a baker’s dozen. (Guests use tickets to pay for their items, so you are not dealing with actual cash). All of the proceeds from ticket sales and silent auction will benefit Share Our Strength and our work to end childhood hunger in America.The event will also include chef demonstrations(please let us know if you want to participate) anda silent auction/raffle.In exchange, we will promote your restaurant or bakery in our public relations efforts, at the event with signage, include your logo on our e-blast invitation and provide volunteers the day before and the day of the event to help you. You will have your own table where you will be able to not only showcase your products, but also have a venue to market and promote your establishment.
