REVISED ESTIMATES FOR 2016-2017 & BUDGET ESTIMATES FOR 2017-2018

The Delhi Development Authority, the leading Urban Development Authority in the country was formed in 1957 as per the Delhi Development Authority Act, 1957. The Act enjoins upon DDA to provide and secure the development of Delhi according to plan and to undertake such activities as necessary and expedient for such development. DDA has accordingly formulated the Master Plans for Delhi in 1962 with perspective upto 1990. It was further modified extensively envisaging vision and policy guidelines for perspective period upto 2021 and was notified on 7th February, 2007.

As on date, 50025 houses are in progress at various locations of Delhi, out of which 10660 affordable houses for Urban poor at Dwarka, Rohini, Narela, Siraspur and Kondli are planned, 39365 houses comprising 3743 SFS/ HIG, 7097 MIG & 28525 LIG are in progress. Another 4699 houses for In-situ rehabilitation of JJ Cluster are in progress. Construction of 1462 HIG, 1750 MIG, 423 LIG and 1415 EWS houses shall be taken up during the financial year 2017-18. Further, construction of 5000 Dwelling Units at Sector-11, Rohini, GH-2 & HG-3 of Sector 29 & 30 are also likely to be taken up during the year 2017-18.

Construction of Water Command Tank in Sector-26 of Dwarka has been taken up during the year 2016-17 to meet the water requirement of Sector 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29 of Dwarka. Maintenance of all water bodies is also continuing. Maintenance of Master Plan Roads and sectorial roads in Dwarka is in progress. Construction of Embankment of UER-I from Delhi Karnal Railway line to Western Yamuna Canal, 100 M UER-II from Western Yamuna Canal to Kanjhawla Road and 100 M UER-II RD 15950 to 18450 connecting NH-10 to Bakkarwala and UER-III from Western Yamuna Canal to Prem Adhar Nursery in full width is also in progress. Development works like construction of roads, providing kkperipherial services etc. in Rohini Ph-IV & V are in progress during the year 2016-17 and shall be continued during the year 2017-18 also.

Prestigious projects like socio cultural centers in Rohini, CBD Shahdara, Mayur Place, Re-development and rejuvenation of Nehru Place, Bhikaji Cama Place and Vasant Lok and development of theme based park at Swaran Jayanti Park, Sector-10, Rohini are to be taken up during the year 2017-18. Project of Narela Smart City is at the stage of appointment of Consultant and this project is to be taken up in the financial year 2017-18. About twenty-one Community Halls at various places of Delhi shall also be taken up during the next year. Construction of SPS-3, Sector-40, Rohini shall be taken up during the year 2017-18. Maintenance and repair works shall be continued in 2017-18 in all DDA parks spread over in Delhi. About 20 open gyms in DDA Parks shall be provided in the financial year 2017-18.

D.D.A. is perhaps the only urban development organization in the country which has undertaken development of sports in a major way with a view to providing easy and affordable access for the larger public to sports facilities. It has added 18 sports complexes and 2 golf courses to arena of sports activities in Delhi.

DDA Budget 2017-18 has been formulated keeping in view the projected requirements of MPD 2021 for group housing, land development etc.
