HOLIDAYS HOMEWORK (2016-17)

Sub- ENGLISH

Q1. Write one page of cursive writing every day.

Q2. Imagine yourself as anyone of the following-

Describe your home in ten sentences. You can include the following points.

  • Name of your shelter (eg Bird- Nest)
  • How and where do you make your shelter?
  • Who all live with you?
  • Which activities do you do there?
  • What is special in your home for which you like it?

Draw a picture of your shelter.

Q3. Stick five pictures of your favourite person (actor/actresses, sportsperson, family members, cartoon etc. ) and write a few sentences about each of them.

Q4. Read any storybook other than syllabus and draw and describe the character you liked the most.

Q5. Think about your feelings and fill in your response:

  4. I feel scared when ______.

Q6. What are the things an images that come to your mind when you think of the words ‘dark’ and ‘night’? ( Make a list of 10 words.)

Q7. Write a short Autobiography of your grandparent (any 1). Stick their photograph too.

HOME WORK (EVS)

Q1. You threw a party to your friends at your residence and served only healthy food items. Everyone appreciated. List the food items you served.

Q2. Make a daily report of how you helped your mother in her household work.

Q3. Plant a seed in a small box and observe it from 1st day till the last day. Write daily report what change you have noticed. (Bring this potted plant to school)

Q4. Read newspaper daily and then cut atleast two news that you liked the most (sports, films, politics, general knowledge etc). Daily report has to be made.

ACTIVITY -

Make a paper bag to make “Plastic Free environment”.

Design a photo frame using waste material found at home ( Broom stick, old buttons, ice cream sticks, water melon seeds etc.) and paste a family photograph in it.

Use dry leaves to make pictures of different animals as fish, butterfly etc.
