New Welcome Mat Installed!

As most of you have already noticed, there is a new look at the front entrance to the Shadow Hills Estates. Under the design and direction of Tom Barth and with the assistance of Daniel Rodriguez, Griffin Romley, Blaine Green, Alex Pelatt, Eric Hamilton, and Michael Pelatt, they managed to dress up the horse trail side of the entrance to the Estates making it more welcoming to both equestrians and homeowners alike. Great job everyone!!

ACCOLADES and MORE

We are always talking about looking at your house from the street with a critical eye to see if it needs paint, repairs, or just some flowers for color. Here are a few homes that have done those things and more and, as a result, have helped give the entire neighborhood a shot in the arm.

10815 Wicks 10054 Orcas

10835 Wicks 10055 Orcas

10844 Wicks 10063 Orcas

10901 Meseta 10156 Janetta Way

10934 Meseta

A special thanks goes out to Dr. Marcos, 9966 Clybourn, for keeping his fencing looking sharp. It takes a lot of time, effort, and paint to keep that wrought iron fence looking so sharp!

NEWEST RESIDENTS OF SHADOW HILLS ESTATES

Rich and Cindy Garcia, who have moved into 10941 Meseta, have done so many wonderful things to that house. The most obvious project has been the new fence along Orcas. What a big plus that has been.

E-MAIL ADDRESSES

We have had several e-mail addresses that are no longer in service. If you change your e-mail address, please let us know as that is the most efficient way of getting in contact with most of the neighbors.

JANETTA WAY DEVELOPMENT

Work has begun on the grading phase of the project. This phase will take several months and hopefully be completed before the next rainy season. There has been some movement of equipment and trucks up Janetta Way, but we have been told that that should only last about a month.

10100 HELEN AVENUE DEVELOPMENT

Nothing new to report at this time.

TRASH CANS

Please, please, please remember that your trash cans should not be placed on the street before Sun eve and must be returned to the set back on your house no later than Mon eve. The horse cans are out Wed eve and back in on Thurs.

HOMEOWNERS DUES

Several homeowners have found themselves in arrears on their association dues which has resulted in extra charges being applied to their accounts. Please keep in mind that it is not the Board of Directors who arbitrarily apply these fines, rather it is the management company’s charges for filing the necessary legal documents against the homeowner. These filing fees are paid out of our general fund and are reimbursed to the general fund when the homeowner pays the fine. The BOD cannot waive these extra charges as it would result in every homeowner paying for the mistakes of a few homeowners.

ANNUAL BLOCK PARTY

The date for our annual block party has been set for the second Saturday in September (the 10th). Plan on attending.
