Westridge Performing Arts Center

For all Westridge Juniors and Seniors and their parents, as well as recent Westridge alumnae

In the past few years, there has been greater recognition that the issue of sexual misconduct and assault touches almost every college campus in some way and deeply affects college students and their families across the country. At this event, we will hear from a panel of experts and individuals with experience in various aspects of addressing the issue. This panel discussion will educate girls and parents about the dangers of sexual assault in college communities and will equip them with resources surrounding this issue. In addition, the panel will inform families on current responses by colleges to address this issue and provide support for survivors. We look forward to seeing you for this timely discussion.

We are pleased to welcome the following panelists:

Hailyn is a litigation partner at the law firm Munger, Tolles & Olson. She currently represents the University of California in student sexual misconduct litigation, both system-wide and at five UC campuses. Defending universities in litigation from both sides has given Hailyn a unique perspective on the challenges universities face in satisfying what are often conflicting legal obligations. She provides ongoing counsel to universities with respect to their policies and procedures for addressing allegations of student or faculty sexual misconduct. She has published articles on protecting students’ Title IX and due process rights in university discipline proceedings and has spoken on several law firm panels regarding student sexual misconduct. She attended Yale University as an undergrad and earned her JD from the UCLA School of Law. Hailyn is the mother of a current Westridge Senior.
