NEWS & NOTES

LWML SUNDAY – Today is LWML Sunday, a day to celebrate this marvelous mission organization which God has given us. This is a landmark year, for the LWML is now 75 years old. For 75years, women have been meeting together to study Scripture, pray, and give of their time and talents in service to Jesus! We praise God and thank Him for the blessings He has wrought through these dedicated women, past and present, and for the future members who will carry the LWML banner high for years to come!

DUAL PARISH MISSION FESTIVAL – On Sunday, October 15th, we will have our Dual Parish Mission Festival worship service and activities at St. Paul’s. The worship service will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by activities and a potluck. There will be no service at CLC on that morning.

CIRCUIT REFORMATION SERVICE – Come celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation! Worship and give thanks to the Lord with your brothers and sisters in Christ on Sunday, October 29th, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church located at 71955 Highway 50 between Tecumseh and Pawnee City. Grace alone! Faith alone! Holy Scripture alone! Christ alone! Handbells! Instruments! Circuit choir! Children’s Choir! Light refreshments afterwards! The offering received during the service will be divided evenly to support the following mission organizations and efforts: The Lutheran Church in Liberia, Africa (Rev. Amos Bolay), Lutheran Bible Translators, Mission work in Mozambique, Africa (Rev. Carlos Winterle), Lutheran Heritage Foundation, Ministry to Muslims (outreach in the Omaha/council Bluffs area by Emad and Shireen Tawadrous). For more information, please contact the church office.
