SESSION COMMITTEE JOB DESCRIPTION

Note: The committee is not currently meeting on a regular basis, but is continuing to maintain and upgrade the current technology infrastructure as well assupporting worship.
References:Scripture - Genesis 11:6 The Lord said “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Matthew 28: 19-20 The great commission “ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surly I am with you always to the very end of the age”. And Matthew 22: 37-40 The Greatest Commandment. Jesus replied, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it. Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the prophets hang on these two commandments.

Mission:To coordinate and manage technology to enhance the multiple activities and functions of Webster Presbyterian Church in order to assist carrying out the church’s mission so that all may come to know Jesus Christ, to Love Him, Serve Him and Enjoy Him forever.
General Responsibilities:The committee has a responsibility to the Trustees and then to Session to lead and/or coordinate Technology assessment, evaluation, introduction, training and maintenance as it applies through out the physical facility as well and enhancing worship, mission and communications. Liaison with other committees and individuals to continually seek out needs, provide options and to facilitate implementation will represent the majority of the work of this committee, on an as needed basis.

Specific Responsibilities:
This committee has a responsibility for the development and use of Technology within the church to enhance our interface with the outside community and within. We will continue to work to bring forth the Good News story of God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, so that all (members and those outside the church) may come to Know, from His word, Jesus Christ, to Love him through prayer, repentance and obedience, to Serve Him with a servants heart and reap the true joy of being in His presence forever.
