Please provide your test notes and results back to Tammy Fannin by the close of business on Monday, January 18th. Attach this

Task 1: Event Creation

Under the “Events” menu in Sentinel V2, select the menu option for “Manage Events Setup”. Here, you will create a new event from scratch. The “event” is the record of summary information about the event such as name, location and costs (if any) to attend.

Use this screen to create a new event in your valley.

Task 1 Result:

Date and time you tested / Difficulty completing test. Rate 1-10 with 10 being most difficult / Did you encounter any errors? If so, please describe the error you received. / Areas or sections that can be improved or changed to work better.
Task 2: Event Registrations

Use the black menu bar at the top of the Sentinel window to locate the option for “Events”. Within this menu, find the option for “Search Event Registrations”

Here you can search for previously entered event registrations and edit them accordingly.

Try searching for old registrations, pull them up and review the event registration screen. Feel free to edit some details about a registrant (it’s just test data!).

Now, locate the menu option for Adding Event Registrations under the “Events” menu.

Select that option and add some registrants to the event you created in Task 1.

Task 2 Result:

Date and time you tested / Difficulty completing test. Rate 1-10 with 10 being most difficult / Did you encounter any errors? If so, please describe the error you received. / Areas or sections that can be improved or changed to work better.
Task 3: Retest Form 330

Using the black menu bar in Sentinel V2, find the option for submitting a Form 330 under the people menu. Specifically, the option you are looking for is labeled “Form 330 for new initiates”.

Form 330 submissions are used when candidates become members by completing, at least, the 14th degree. When completing the Form 330, only records in your valley’s database with the status of “Candidate” are included for selection. If you don’t have any candidates, take a moment to go to person add and insert a few new candidates for you valley.

Note that this screen is set up so that when you select your FIRST candidate to include on the form submission, you specify the degree dates. After that, each additional person included in the Form 330 will automatically use those dates of investiture. We’ve tried a few different models, but this one has turned out to be the most user-friendly. The key to using it in the most efficient way is to specify the degree dates immediately after you include the first initiate.

Be sure to log into Sentinel V2 a few days after you submit your re-test Form 330 to see if notification of approval are there!

Task 3 Result:

Date and time you tested / Difficulty completing test. Rate 1-10 with 10 being most difficult / Did you encounter any errors? If so, please describe the error you received. / Areas or sections that can be improved or changed to work better.
Task 4: Retest Member Profile

Areas on the member profile ready to be re-tested/reviewed include the way the member’s photo is managed, how deceased people are reported, and edit (pencil) indicators placed next to editable areas of the profile.

Explore these changed areas, provide feedback and note and errors you might have encountered.

Task 4 Result:

Date and time you tested / Difficulty completing test. Rate 1-10 with 10 being most difficult / Did you encounter any errors? If so, please describe the error you received. / Areas or sections that can be improved or changed to work better.
Task 5: Retest Ad-Hoc Searching

Use the black menu bar at the top of the Sentinel window to locate the option to “Search Members”. This menu option is located as a sub menu option under the Members menu.

Using the “New Ad-Hoc Search” menu option, find a group of members matching criteria you specify. The search language options are the same as used in Sentinel V1. So, searches can contain wildcards, greater than, less than, etc.

Aside for a ton of performance related changes we made, search fields that previously returned no data should now be functioning properly. Test a few search fields to see if you think searches are executing more quickly than in previous tests.

Also, test fields further down on the screen.

I am quickly working on the collapse/expand functionality and you will see some evidence of that on the search screen now. But, be aware that functionality is going to evolve slightly over the next few days, so don’t be too hung up on it yet. We are going to product a re-test for this after the expand/collapse functionality has been completed.

Task 5 Result:

Date and time you tested / Difficulty completing test. Rate 1-10 with 10 being most difficult / Did you encounter any errors? If so, please describe the error you received. / Areas or sections that can be improved or changed to work better.

THANKS AND DON’T FORGET TO SEND YOUR AMENDED VERSION OF THIS DOCUMENT WITH TESTING NOTES BACK TO TAMMY!
