We are looking for Senior Developers with full stack or strong server-side and Database Development skills to join our highly skilled team producing a world–leading Cloud based business performance management and business intelligence off-the-shelf product suite using a wide range of Microsoft, web and database technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop new features for our rich internet application, with consideration for ease of use, functionality, longevity, platform flexibility, working closely with other team members where necessary

Urgently assist in migrating the last remaining old tech code to new technology

Develop complex queries and algorithms for condensing and reporting on large datasets with minimum response times, for a variety of data sources including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL and Excel, and new Big Data sources

Take an active part in coming up with new ideas and discussing specifications with senior staff, including technical architecture, patterns and technology strategy

Participate in second line customer support over the ’phone and email

Essential Skills:

Expert in developing web applications using JQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ASP.NET, C#, Visual Studio, T-SQL and SQL Server

A strong data background with experience in MS SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Microsoft Analysis Server, OLAP Cubes, Oracle and Data Warehousing

Excellent maths skills - this role benefits from a strong mathematical approach to problem solving and having the mathematical tools to express/solve them

A broad technological understanding of languages, frameworks, design patterns and architectural strategies

Minimum of 5 years full-time software development employment

Desirable Skills:

Experience building presentation dashboards, scorecards and analytics tools

An appreciation of user needs, particularly in a Business Intelligence environment

Experience with test driven development processes and using unit tests

Agile Development

Successful candidates will hold a 1st Class or 2:1 degree level or equivalent in a computing or a mathematical subject.

You should be located within 30 minutes of our Gerrards Cross offices in Buckinghamshire.

We are looking for candidates who have a high level of attention to detail and good communication skills, and are experienced in working with Microsoft web development and database tools. A strong work ethic and commitment to quality and finishing work with a low bug rate is required.

We work in a small, friendly office that often enjoys sitting down together for a takeaway on a Friday lunchtime!

Applicants will be required to pass a demanding technical test at a comparable level to Microsoft Certified Software Developer, Microsoft Certifications will be an advantage.
