SENIOR FRIDAY NEWSLETTER ~January 5, 2018
Hello Seniors & Senior Parents,
We hope you all enjoyed your nice long break! Seniors….this is your year! There are so many fun events coming up fast, but don’t let senioritis sink in. Colleges will continue to monitor your grades through the end of the year so keep working hard. It would be a real disappointment to have your acceptance rescinded, or to begin college already on academic probation. And yes, these things really do happen!

FINANCIAL AID REMINDERS:
·The FAFSA is available on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov.Federal and state deadlines are listed there as well. Check with the college(s) you are applying to and find out their specific deadline. You may also want to ask your college about its definition of an application deadline – whether it is the date the college receives your FAFSA, or the date your FAFSA is processed.
·Also, be sure to determine if your colleges require the CSS Profile. This is a supplemental financial aid form for some private colleges and for the Town of Chelmsford Scholarships. It is the student’s responsibility to be aware of each school’s deadline. As it is lengthy and requires in-depth financial information, you should review your schools’ dates and requirements ASAP. This form can be accessed at
·For all financial aid filings, these deadlines are hard and fast, so don’t miss them!
