Purpose

The Senior Associate is responsible for leading project teams under the oversight of the assignment Principal. A key part of the Senior Associates role is to establish a client network that can translate into a pipeline of prospective sales. As a senior member of the assignment team, the Senior Associate will be responsible for coaching and mentoring of more junior team members, contributing to and working on internal projects focused on the “Advisian way”.

Key Objectives and Accountabilities

  • Leads cross functional teams to deliver on key responsibilities in an assignment under tight deadlines
  • Collaborate across branches to access broader capability
  • Plan and manage assignments - plan, time, cost, outcomes etc.
  • Builds and nurtures trust based relationships with clients and turns opportunities into signed work.
  • Drives to expand the scope of Assignment work with clients
  • Guides the team and the client through problem analysis
  • Produces reports to the clients that clearly articulates findings and recommendations
  • Proactively develops Advisian's knowledge/asset base
  • Develop and publish papers through industry mediums
  • Plan and deliver client workshops
  • Produce plans and budgets relating to assignment management and delegate responsibilities to assignment team as appropriate to deliver assignment outcomes
  • Ensures financial outcomes of assignments are achieved through management of scope variations, invoicing and managing the team to deliver to budget
  • Act as the lead on small assignments
  • Mentor and coach consulting team on assignments
  • Proactively contribute to the culture of the business and participates in activities to drive employee engagement
  • Supports and models HSE initiatives

Skills and Competencies Required

  • Demonstrated flexible and adaptable approach and able to operate in different ways in different situations – ability to synthesise skills across sub-sectors within Social Infrastructure
  • Strong background in building construction/property/property development
  • Strong background in social infrastructure projects – both infrastructure (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX)
  • Exposure to working for Government and/or Private Sector in the Social Infrastructure Space
  • PPP experience - bid-side or client-side
  • Strong research and organisation skills
  • Ability to lead teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience in dealing with senior people in organisations
  • Strong skills in project delivery and business development
  • Demonstrated client network

Qualifications & experience

  • Degree in, Building/Architecture/Quantity Surveying/Structural Engineering/Building Surveying/ or related discipline
  • Candidates with a double degree in business, finance or economics an advantage
  • Experience in providing project and business solutions to clients in the social infrastructure sector.
