FSA (Financial Services Authority)

I underwent FSA training whilst at Abbey. FSA are a body that Govern all financial institutes. The FSA ensure all banks give customers the relevant information for them to make informed decisions. They also make sure that all banks fall in line with correct procedures.

All personal bankers at Abbey have to pass the FSA test in order to operate fully as a personal banker. I achieved well on the FSA assessments with a 90% pass.

Achievements

An achievement that stands out was going back to college to get my GCSE’s and passing, enabling me to gain entry on to my course in media technology at Kingston University. I successfully completed my degree and achieved a 2:2 grade.

I achieved second place on the Referral League Table at Abbey, which includes over 150 other cashiers in west London branches. This was within four months of working for the company. I rapidly progressed from a cashier to a personal banker, on account of my hard work and determination.

As an author, I have also self-published a fiction novel and several other short stories.

Interests

My interests include fitness training, writing and music. I voluntarily train a small group of people every other Sunday and enjoy seeing the progression in their fitness levels. I had the honour of training with the Kingston University boxing team, who have won the university boxing league on many occasions. Since leaving university I have continued to attend a local boxing club in my spare time. My interest in music spreads across many genres. I am an independent author who has published an 80’000 word novel in 2014 and I am due to release another in May 2018. When not writing I enjoy learning guitar, meeting with friends, family and socialising.
