Senior Administrator (Part Time. 1 year contract)

About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Business Development this role is based at the Head Office of the charity, working on projects for the Business Development Manager and providing day to day support working with other members of the Head Office team.

About You
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic motivated team player with a proven extensive experience in a varied Office Administration role. You will be a strong communicator comfortable interacting at all levels. With good organisational skills, you’ll be a self-starter with the ability to work on a project on your own initiative in an Executive environment and be able to remain flexible to react to changing circumstances and requests. A strong eye for detail and accuracy is vital.
Main Purpose
To provide an excellent administrative service to the Director of Business Development, specifically working towards the organisation becoming compliant with the new data protection regulations (General Data Protection Regulations or GDPR), including day to day tasks such as overseeing the administration of the project, being a contact point for third parties and working closely with the Director of Business Development who is also the Data Protection Officer. To provide administrative assistance to other members of the team, as and when required.

Main Responsibilities
Working to a timed plan to oversee the administration of the GDPR project. Liaising with the Port Staff throughout the UK to ensure compliance as well as being a contact for third parties. Liaising with other managers as and when required. Assisting with the administration required to ensure compliance, including scanning and electronically filing existing documents.

Key Responsibilities

This role is primarily to work towards GDPR compliance but will also involve providing support to the Director of Business Development and on occasion the Chief Executive. It will also require close working with the Executive Personal Assistant to assist with the smooth running of a busy working areas. There may also be the opportunity to offer administration support within the fundraising remit.

·  To be part of the Executive Administration team of the organisation

·  Ensure that working is within the Fundraising Regulator Framework and according to all Health and Safety and Data Protection guidelines.

·  Adhere to all company policies and procedures issued from time to time

·  To carry out such other administrative tasks and duties as required.

Essential

·  Confidence with Microsoft Office Systems, preferably Microsoft 365

·  Experience of dealing with simultaneous demands from more than one person.

·  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·  Strong attention to detail.

·  Excellent organisational capacity with creative approach to problem solving, managing multiple projects and time management.

·  Self-motivated team worker with experience of a high degree of professional autonomy

·  Computer literate

·  Confident decision maker

Desirable

·  Experience of developing a plan and taking it through to completion

·  Working in a busy and varied department

Terms and Conditions

·  Annual Salary: £25,000 pro rata (£15,000 p.a)

·  Hours: 22.5 hours per week: days and times to be agreed with the Director of Business Development
