There will be an opportunity to learn some new songs to take back to your congregation and to share your own experience of musical worship, as well as your heart for its development in your own locality. / Leech Hall / Unlimited
2 / “Great Joy in the City” / Paul Blakey MBE / Acts 8:8 proclaims there was great joy in the city as Philip spoke about and demonstrated the Kingdom of God. How can we be bringers of great joy to our towns and cities? Paul Blakey MBE founder of Halifax Street Angels will share about the project and how the challenge to be ‘good news’ can, and is, transforming communities. / Wallis Room / 30 max
3 / ‘Through a Glass Darkly’ Imagination as a vehicle for transformation in the preaching event. / Revd Kate Bruce / What does it mean to preach imaginatively? We will look at the role of the imagination, the possible connection between imagination and revelation, and at how the imagination operates as a vehicle for transformation in the sermon.The seminar will be a blend of lecture input and discussion. / Vasey Room / 30 max *
4 / ’Psalm of your Hand’ / Revd Paul Lucas / This creative workshop provides an opportunity for participants to choose some lines from a Psalm and, using pencils and acrylic paints, scribe them onto a wooden ‘leaf’. The ‘leaves’ will then be brought together and mounted onto a wooden sculpture, transforming it into a ‘Tree of Life’. / Bailey Common Room / 20 max

2 / “I was in prison and you visited me” / Dana Delap / In Matthew 25 Jesus emphasised the importance of serving those in prison, which includes the 85,000 men, women and children imprisoned in this country. This workshop explores the possibilities of prison ministry, and the difference a volunteer can make in the lives of some of our society’s most deprived people. / Wallis Room / 30 max
3 / ‘Going out to seek God’ / Jane Cook / How can outdoor activities - walking, camping, cycling, canoeing, etc be used to explore Christian spirituality? The seminar will be a forum to reflect on this and to share ideas and personal experiences. / Vasey Room / 30 max *
