National Cancer Institute / / 800-4-CANCER / PDQ (Physician Data Query) is NCI's comprehensive cancer database. It contains peer-reviewed summaries on cancer treatment, screening, prevention, genetics, and supportive care, and complementary and alternative medicine. Contains treatment summaries for various cancers – including treatment by stage of disease. Patient and health professional versions. Also various fact sheets. Publications. Telephone counseling for patient, family members and health professionals.
Steve Dunn’s CancerGuide / / Web site devoted to providing cancer information for patients. Created by a cancer survivor, Steve Dunn. Although he is now deceased (not from cancer), the web site is still available.
