See Me Advisory Group
Volunteer Person Specification, May 2017
Introduction
The Advisory Group is the main mechanism for ensuring the See Me programme is informed by the lived experience and expertise of people with mental health problems. As such the Group provides a great opportunity to provide the insight, knowledge and expertise that can help the programme successfully tackle mental health stigma and discrimination. It is also a useful opportunity to learn from others both with lived experience and those working in key stakeholder organisations. The Advisory Group has agreed Terms of Reference which clarify its role, remit and membership. These are included in the recruitment pack.
Currently there are vacancies for three volunteer members to be recruited from amongst See Me’s volunteers; Community Champions, Community Influencers, Young Champions, Media Volunteers and Speakers. All reasonable expenses, incurred in the work of the Advisory Group, will be reimbursed by See Me. From time to time Group members will be invited to take part in other See Me activities.
