Collective Worship theme: FRIENDSHIP

Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their healtfelt advice.

The highlight of the week has undoubtedly been our official opening ceremony on Wednesday. The Bishop of Exeter, the Right Reverend Robert Atwell, spent the day in the school and officially opened the school. He was given a tour of the school and ate lunch with the children before the service. The children of the school were a real credit to themselves and behaved impeccably and showed their usual enthusiasm and welcoming nature. It was a great occasion and many of our invited guests, who had contributed to the new building project, commented on what impressive young people they are. We were treated to some of the flute club playing solos and duets and Jacob in year six playing the piano. It was a very proud moment for the school and I would like to say how proud we are of our wonderful pupils.

Word Millionaires

A huge well done to Kirsty and Caitlin B in year six who have become our latest word millionaires on Accelerated Reader. Well done girls on a fantastic achievement. We have a good number of other children who are very close to achieving this feat so keep up the hard work with reading as this is a magnificent achievement.

Summer Reading Challenge at the Library

South Molton Town Library will be hosting its summer reading challenge. We are in the process of arranging a visit from the team to give us all the details, but do get along to the library in town as it is a great facility and has a really good range of books.
