Security Digital Card (SD Card) Backup Operations
- Required Components: SD card, SD card reader and Network Viewer CD
(Optional, Comes with IDView Equipment)
2. Archiveimage clipsinto SD card
Please take the following steps to archive a critical image in a SD card.
(1)Insert a SD Card into the SD card slot in the rear of the unit.
(2)Go to search to retrieve the desired images.
(3)Press the PAUSEbutton to freeze the desired pictures.
(4)Press the Enter button to save the image to the SD Card.
The number of pictures that can be stored depends on the size of the SD card. The image is stored in the JPEG compressed format. If more than one video clip is stored in a SDcard, IDView DVR will assign the file names in sequence as shown below.
“SAVE TO J0000.JPG”; “SAVE TO J0001.JPG”; “SAVE TO J000N.JPG”
On average, the size of the picture is between 32 to 64 Kilobytes. A 32MB SD card may hold up to 1,000 pictures.
3. Insert the SD Card Reader to the USB port of your computer
Please follow the instructions coming with the SD card reader to install the SD card reader on your computer. Depending on the OS of your computer, you may or may not need to install the driver that comes with the SD card reader.
4. Install the Network Viewer softwarethat comes with the IDView CD
1. Exit all applications currently running on the selected PC.
2. Insert the supportedCD in the CD-ROM drive. The program will execute the installation automatically.Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the rest of the installation procedure as they appear.
3.After the installation is completed, pop up the START menu from your computer, and point to Programs /IDVIEW1CH DVR Network Viewer to open up the program selection page. Click on the Image Viewer to start the Image Viewer program.
5. View, save and print the images on the SD card using the Image Viewer
- Please go to Start -> Programs-> IDVIEW 1CH DVR Network Viewer, and click on the Image Viewer. Select the designated drivewherethe SD card reader is located, and then select thedesired image(s) on the SD card.
- To print out the image with a time stamp, please click on the PRINT button in the Image Viewer. This will print out the image with the time and date information (which was when the image was recorded).
- To save the images to the PC hard drive, you can copy and paste the files to the designated folders on your hard drive.
- If you want to save the images to the CD, we suggest that you take the images saved on the hard drive and follow the instructions of your CD burner, proceed to save video clips to your CD from your hard drive as usual.
- When you need to present the CD or the SD card to the authority for evidence, it is required that you include with the CD (or the SD Card), the IDViewImage Viewer software so that the police can see the date/time stamp on the images.
