PART 3 - EXECUTION

3.1SUMP PUMP INSTALLATION

  1. During construction, provide temporary pumps if evacuation of sump is required. Permanent pumps provided hereunder shall not be used for removal of construction debris.
  2. Install pumps in sumps. Adjust sump level controls for size of sump provided.
  3. Lubricate in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions before operation.
  4. Support interconnecting piping independently to prevent stresses on casings.
  5. Provide screen over grated openings to duplex sump pump pits to eliminate debris from entering pit.
  6. Provide throttling type of valve with memory stop on discharge side of duplex sump pumps, downstream of outside lever and weight check valves.

3.2IN-LINE CIRCULATING PUMP INSTALLATION

  1. Motor horizontally or vertically depending on normal design of pump.
