Attendance & Tardiness Policy

The Business Information Technology Program attendance policy allows a maximum of nine absences (15%) prior to mandatory withdrawal from the course

Tardiness and leaving class early is disruptive to the class. Both things distract other students and the instructor and interrupt the learning process. The student who does not attend the full class session does not receive full benefit of the class that day. Multiple students coming in tardy or leaving early negatively impedes the progress of the entire class. Consequently, anyone who is tardy and/or leaves class early more than 10% of the time which is a total of six times during the quarter will be required to withdraw from the course. Absences are not included in this count since they affect only the individual.

Evaluation

After basic requirements have been fulfilled, the final grade will be determined by averaging the three highest grades on three minute timings. All assigned exercises must be completed for a minimum grade of D (1.0).
Up to an additional 0.5 will be added to the timing grade for successfully completing the Word document test.

Everyone will be granted the grace of three late assignments. Once the grace has been utilized, 0.1 will be deducted from final grade for each late assignment.

Course may be taken for S/NC grade, notify instructor before end of quarter if you select this option.
