WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED:U.S. citizens that are currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a degree seeking student taking at least a half-time academic, technical, certification, or vocational course load in an accredited program or 2 or 4 year college or university, graduate or professional school. This position will support IT and IA mission requirements.

Student Trainee (Information Technology- Mission Assurance) Series 2299

Develops, delivers, and supports information technology (IT) and Information Assurance (IA) systems and services. Project management involves directly managing information technology projects to provide a unique service, product, or system. Systems Analysis involves applying analytical processes to the planning, design and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations. Systems Administration involves planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.

Performs: (1) technical and analytical work pertaining to the planning, development, acquisition, testing, integration, installation, utilization, or modification of telecommunications systems, facilities, services, and procedures; (2) planning, implementation, or program management of telecommunications programs, systems, and services; (3) planning, recommending changes, and determining organizational structure, staffing, training, and budgetary requirements.

Supports through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data.Manages activities that typically extend and apply to an entire organization or components of an organization, including strategic planning, capital planning and investment control, workforce planning, policy and standards development, resource management, knowledge management, architecture and infrastructure planning and management, auditing, and information security management.
