  1. Approval of Minutes:

The minutes of the December 2013 Board Retreat at James Island County Park were approved as written and passed unanimously.

  1. Branch Updates:
  2. CBM Branch – Scott reported the 1st draft of Constitution and Bi-Laws merger has been sent.
  3. ELM Branch- Joe noted April 23rd as an upcoming workshop
  4. EMB –Will meet on March 19th
  5. RAP Branch- Bonnie reported that positions in the branch have been filled and budget turned in. TPS registration is slow.
  6. Student Branch- Pam reported on survey of students; Coastal & Clemson; in need of a job board for internships.
  7. Wellness Branch - no report
  8. SCAP Branch – no report
  9. Parks Branch- no report
  1. District Updates:
  2. Central- Ashley reported they will meet Feb. 3 at Saluda Shoals.
  3. Eastern- no report
  4. Southern- Jason reported they will meet Feb. 5 at Mt. Pleasant and have filled all positions.
  5. Western- Jamie reported they will meet Feb. 6 and have filled all positions.
  6. It was noted that a sign in sheet is needed at District Meetings.
  1. Committee Updates:
  2. Ways and Means- Golf Tournament date of October 23.
  3. Conference and Program– meeting Jan. 9
  4. Marketing- winter issue delay; Chris Pounder and Laurie Helms are co-chairing this year; looking for new members; dates and themes to be established at beginning of year
  5. Scholarship- received a $200 donation from Site Solutions

  3. Awards revamp – advertise dates; letter of intent
  1. Executive Director’s Report:
  2. Budget Update – discussed amendment to ethic minority mid-year; motion second and passed.
  3. Legislative State/National Update – SLED check $8 in new budget (state); Good job on educating LWCF (nationally)
