All musicians and worship leaders are required to attend a monthly harp and bowl clinic to participate on a set. This harp and bowl clinic takes place every first weekend of the month. Visit www.ihopeg.org/harp-and-bowl-clinics for more info.

☐ I commit to attending a harp and bowl clinic.

At IHOP-Eastern Gate, we hold to a standard of purity and holiness for all worshippers who participate on set. In understanding the platform of being on a visible team in the prayer room, and moreover, out of a desire to be holy unto the Lord in the service of night/day worship and prayer, all worshippers must sign a purity covenant to participate on a team.

☐ I soberly agree to sign the IHOP-EG purity covenant, pursuant of being on a team.

At Eastern Gate, we hold monthly worship ministry meetings to address issues pertaining to the worship ministry, in addition to building community on the base within the worship ministry. Each month the meetings rotate between worship leaders meetings and entire worship ministry meetings. Worship leaders must attend all worship ministry meetings taking place every 3rd Saturday of the month, 2pm at the missions base, while musicians must attend every other month, when the entire worship ministry meetings are held.

☐ As a worship leader, I commit to attending the monthly worship ministry meetings (both worship leaders, and entire worship ministry meetings)

☐ As a worship musician, I commit to attending the worship ministry meetings every other month when the entire worship ministry comes together.

At IHOP-Eastern Gate, all worship leaders must take ownership of their prayer sets. Part of taking ownership means finding substitutes within the Eastern Gate community when they are unavailable to keep watch during their set. This especially applies during the holiday seasons.

☐ As a worship leader, I am committing to take complete responsibility and ownership of the prayer sets I lead. I will be present, on time, and prepared for all my sets, and will take very seriously my role in keeping the fire of worship and intercession burning. I commit to finding my own substitutes, and outside of an event of an emergency, giving all my substitutes at least a 1-week notice of my unavailability. If I am having difficulty finding a substitute, I commit to asking leadership for help in attaining one.

At IHOP-Eastern Gate, we guard and cherish keeping the stage platform clean and orderly. In this way, we respect other teams who share the stage, but moreover, we keep the stage clean as an act of worship and honor to the Lord.

☐ As a worship leader/musician, I commit to guarding the stage platform by keeping it clean and orderly.

IHOP-Eastern Gate Worship Ministry Purity Covenant

IHOP:EG worship team members should make a commitment to personal holiness.

We welcome all who are struggling with different areas of sin and weakness in their life to come and experience the presence of the Lord in the place of prayer. However, it is important for those who minister before the Lord, by the grace of God, to seek holiness in their lives. (Lev 8:14-22) While we do not seek to put religious burdens upon people, there are certain practices and indulgences that must be repented of. We desire to be a community of people that are pursuing the beauty of holiness (Eph. 5:17, 1 Cor. 6:9-20) and are required to be free from addictions, drunkenness, and sexual promiscuity in all forms. We are also requiring worship team participants to personally judge certain familiar areas of their own life that may be considered “gray” areas in regards to consecration and submit them before the Lord and one another as the Lord develops relationships. Some areas include:

I. Agreements, vows or covenants with fraternal organizations such as Free Masonry or other secret societies.

II. Use of alcohol, smoking, un-healthy lifestyle of the over of food indulgence

III. Secular music that glorifies lifestyles and practices of desires opposed to the knowledge of God.

IV. Unhealthy over-indulgences of movies, sports, internet, computer and video games, consumerism, debt.

V. Romantic-physical relationships outside of marriage.

☐ I commit to walk in a manner “worthy of the Lord” (Col. 1:10) in a spirit of purity and holiness with the fear of God in all of the above areas by His grace and mercy. I realize that my actions hold consequences far beyond my own personal well being, stretching to my community and the potential for defaming the base, and all the more, the Kingdom of God.
