A belting day of sweltering heat met the players on Day 3 of the Coca-Cola Khaya Majola Cricket Week as the teams saddled up for the exciting format of T20 cricket.

The morning session brought an interesting round of matches to the fore.
Batting first against Mpumalanga, Limpopo found themselves all at sea against Elnu Potgieter. The left-arm quick removed five Limpopo batsmen in his four over spell up front, as the young Impalas limped to 102 for 8 in their 20 overs.
Mpumalanga went about their chase in a calm and steady manner with Schalk Sutherland top scoring with 46 off 35 balls.

The Pumas passed the Limpopo total with seven wickets and two balls in hand in the last over, thanks to an unbeaten 36 from Sinegugu Maseko. A great fight from the Limpopo bowlers nonetheless.

- SWD vs Free State C/A
Raynard van Tonder continued his rich vein of form, registering his second consecutive half century for Free State at they posted 143 for 4 in their 20 overs against SWD.
SWD battled gamely in response, but regular wickets stifled their chase as they finished on 123 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.

Thando Lebuso and Lejone Makhasana the destroyers-in-chief for Free State with the ball, as they claimed a 20 run win over SWD.

There were six other matches on that took place during the morning session:
- Junaid Dawood was in the wickets column once more as Western Province beat Namibia.
- An unbeaten 43 from Tony de Zorzi guided Gauteng to a win over Boland.
- KZN Inland claimed a resounding 10 wicket win over Border.
- KZN Coastal played to a thrilling tie with North West before winning the Super Over eliminator.
- Easterns fell narrowly short of an upset in their chase against Northerns.
- A century from Anthony Dakin and a five-for that included a hat-trick from Lutho Sipamla gave EP a handsome win over Northern Cape. Dakin became the first ever player to get a T20 hundred at Coke Week which earned him the Coca-Cola Hero of the Day award.

- Border vs Mpumalanga C/A
The afternoon session provided a second opportunity for many after the morning round.
Batting first, Border notched up an imposing 148 for 5 in their 20 overs thanks largely to a big hitting 41 not out from Bamanye Xenxe.
Sinegugu Maseko continued his good form from the morning putting together a composed 50. However, that man Xenxe had the final say taking two wickets off the final two balls to hand Border the win.

A solid all round showing from the Eastern Capers saw them walk away with a 24 run victory over a spirited Mpumalanga side.

- KZN Inland vs Limpopo C/A
Fresh off a 10 wicket win in the morning, KZN Inland continued their rampant form dismissing Limpopo for just 50. Eathan Bosch the shining star with amazing figures of 4 for 6.
Two early wickets dented the Inland chase somewhat, however Jean de Wet and Angus Curtis cruised home in the 13th over with 8 wickets in the shed.

Two from two it finished in the T20s for KZN Inland as they finished Day 3 in some style.

- A blistering allround showing from Dayyaan Galiem saw Western Province beat North West.
- Northerns fought hard in their low scoring win over Boland.
- KZN Coastal romped to victory over Namibia with an unbeaten fifty from James Tedder.
- A Wihan Victor half century gave Free State their second win of the day.
- SWD claimed a surprise victory over the high flying Eastern Province.
- Whilst Gauteng continued on their merry way with a 79 run win over Easterns.

So an exciting day of T20 cricket comes to an end. A hat-trick and the first ever Coke Week T20 hundred were the big headlines. Day four promises plenty more as the format shifts to limited 50 over matches.
