RULES
- The General Playing Rules of the B.T.B.A will govern this tournament together with the following Special Rules and Conditions.
- All bowlers must be in possession of a current B.T.B.A. membership card or the equivalent national card. Non production will result in a £2.00 fine. Non B.T.B.A. Members will not be eligible for points. Points will not be awarded retrospectively.
- The Tournament Manager reserves the right to accept, reject or reschedule any entry and their decision on all matters including protests and / or any other question shall be final, subject to the right of appeal to the B.T.B.A. Protests of any nature must be lodged by the Y.B.C. registered official or player with the Tournament Manager within 30 minutes of the infraction occurring and confirmed in writing before the end of the tournament. A provisional ball will be rolled if a dispute relating to pin fall cannot be resolved immediately.
- Competitors will wear the correct bowling attire in the playing area. Dress Code; all bowlers will wear a suitable bowling shirts which must have the players name or their Y.B.C. displayed. Only dark coloured trousers /skirts/skorts to be worn. No denim clothing or jeans of any description will be permitted. The wearing of hats is at the Tournaments Managers discretion.
- Mobile phones must be switched off during match play and are not permitted in the playing area. Earphones from MP3, mobile phones etc shall not be worn while on the approach during tournament play.
- Photography Policy -"Please be aware before, during, and after the event there could be filming, action photography or video taken of participants and medal winners by anyone attending the event, either as an official, spectator, parent or guardian. If you (as a participant, parent or guardian) object to this, you must make your objections known to the tournament manager prior to the event starting and reasonable adjustments will be made."
- Only Tournament officials, Players, Lane Marshals and one Licensed Instructor / Coach per team are allowed in the playing area. Tournament Officials or Lane Marshals should be made aware of any score changes before the alteration is made. The licensed representative must comply with the dress code stated above and display their licence.
- No competitor will be allowed to consume alcoholic beverages during the tournament or breaks between squads anywhere in the centre. No Improper gestures, bad language or abuse of bowling equipment including machinery will be permitted. Any breech of this rule could result in immediate disqualification, loss of scores and awards from the tournament. Any individual will be reported to the B.T.B.A for consideration of disciplinary proceedings.
- Notification of changes to team line-up should be made at least 24 hours prior to the tournament starting. If the illness is in the last 24 hours then notify the Tournament Manager 15 minutes prior to Registration opening as this will have an effect on the lane draw.
- Registration for each squad will be 30 minutes prior to the published squad time. Tardy players will commence play at the frame in progress as directed by the Tournament Manager.
- In the event of a tie of any award placing, the higher score of the last game bowled shall determine the position. In the event of a further tie, the penultimate games will be compared and so on until the placing is resolved.
- No one will be allowed to pace in the tournament prior to them taking part.
Divisions:-A: Graduate and Youth Bowlers – Over 17 and Under 21 years
at 31st August 2018DOB: From 1.9.97 to 31.8.01
B. Senior and Junior Bowlers – Over 13 and Under 17 years
at 31st August 2018DOB: From 1.9.01 to 31.8.05
C. Pee Wee; Bantam and IntermediateBowlers – Under 13 years
at 31st August 2018DOB: from 31st August 2005
Tournament format: (This applies to all divisions)
Each team comprises of 4 bowlers. Registration will take place at 9am each day at the time of the1st Doubles Squad so where possible all 4 bowlers should be present. The 1st pair on the entry form will bowl in 1st Doubles Squad and 2nd pair on the entry form will bowl 2nd Doubles Squad. Teams can be single sex or mixed and from different divisions BUT thedoubles pair and team will be entered in the highest Division (If you have one from Div A and three bowlers from C, the team and one doubles pair will be entered in Div A the other pair will go in Div C. All bowlers will bowl 3 games doubles and 3 games team, making a 6 game total.
Lanes will be dressed before each doubles squad.
BTBA Ranking points will be awarded to the top 70 boys and top 70 girls over the 6 game total in line with the BTBA Ranking age groups. 1st place will score 120 points 2nd place 110 3rd place 100 then down in 5’s to 60, followed by 59,58,57,56 down to 1 point for 70th place.

Completed entry forms will be accepted for all payments types via email to the Tournament Manager but will not be valid until the payment has been received; Provisional bookings will be accepted by e-mail only if payment and full completed entry form is received within 3 working days or by the closing date whichever is earlier. We regret that no entries will be accepted by telephone. All entries will be dealt with on a strictly first come first served basis.
Entries are non-refundable once squad times have been agreed
Participation in the tournament is acceptance of all the Rules and Regulations governing this event; please ensure that Bowlers, Licensed Officials and Instructors are also aware of these.
