Honored guest - Senator Thomas P. Gaffey, currently serving in his eighth term in the CT State Senate, represents the 13th senatorial district, the residents of the City of Meriden and Town of Middlefield, as well as half of the City of Middletown and Cheshire. He is the Senate Chairman of the Education Committee, Vice Chair of the Select Committee on Aging and serves on the Finance, Revenue, Bonding and Executive and Legislative nominations committees. He is a ranking senator in the Democratic Caucus serving as Chief Deputy President Pro Tem, and has been a member of the New England Board of Higher Education, the Bushnell Education Committee, and the Education Committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures. Senator Gaffey is no stranger to meeting the educational needs of CT school children. Indeed, he is a friend.
This year, the senator chose to speak out on behalf of CT Technical High Schools and in doing so created and passed legislation that benefits CTHSS immeasurably. Please join us for an evening of celebration on the 100th anniversary of CT technical education with our distinguished guest, Senator Tom Gaffey.
