School-University Partnerships (SUP)
Call for Reviewers
School-University Partnerships (SUP), the peer-reviewed research journal of the National Association for Professional Development Schools (NAPDS), is seeking manuscript reviewers.
About SUP
School-University Partnerships is committed to advocating for collaborative ventures across the PreK-12 and college and university communities as vehicles for the sharing of knowledge that shapes educational best practices. Honoring the voices of school- and university-based educators is central to the mission of NAPDS, and SUP seeks manuscripts that represent partnership across stakeholders. The journal encourages submissions that reflect collaborative partnership initiatives. Submissions may focus on (but are not limited to) original school-university research designed and implemented collaboratively, descriptions of effective pedagogies and content delivery in PDS contexts, explanations of successful partnership models and structures, examples of measures of assessment and results of evaluative processes, and analyses of professional development of PDS constituents.
About our Reviewers
As a publication focused on Professional Development Schools (PDSs) and school-university partnerships, SUP seeks to involve both school- and university-based educators as authors, reviewers, associate editors, and editors. SUP seeks reviewers with expertise in a variety of areas in education. Reviewers’ contributions will help ensure that the articles published are of the highest quality. Reviewers are educators, administrators, and researchers, most of whom work in PDS and partnership settings.
About our Manuscripts and Review Process
SUP generally publishes three types of articles: 1) longer research papers of 15-25 pages that typically include but are not limited to a detailed description of the purpose, relevant literature, data collection, findings/results, implications/discussion, and conclusions;2) shorter papers of 6-12 pages that illuminate the work of PDS practitioners; 3) scholarly essay-style book reviews. SUPis published twice a year in the spring and fall and submissions are accepted year-round. Manuscripts are reviewed by established teams of at least two editors working with approximately eight designated reviewers, comprised of school- and university-based educators. Reviewers are asked to consider 3-5 manuscripts per year and provide substantive feedback on each within approximately one month. Manuscripts and up to two revisions are considered before a final publication decision is made. SUP is currently transitioning to a web-based manuscript submission process. Reviewers’ contributions will be acknowledged in each issue during tenure of service, and a letter of recognition will be provided at the conclusion of each academic year upon request.
