School subsidised bus service
We are hoping to continue with the subsidised bus service that we currently provide, unfortunately this year there will be a delay in the provision of places. This is due to the Council run bus service being currently out to tender for the next 3 year term. The earliest we will know is in July but as soon as we know we will contact those parents who have expressed an interest.
To enable us to be prepared for the quick turnaround we are starting our process of organising the subsidised bus provision for the new academic year starting September 2017, to do this efficiently
Please could you advise us of the following via email to with “Bus 2017” in the subject box.
· Parental contact details: - email address and telephone number
· Students Name, current tutor group
· you wish to continue using the bus in September please advise which bus stop
· You would like to use the bus for the first time in September please advise which bus stop you wish to use.
· you no longer require the bus from September
The stops are currently atHaverhill Bus Station, Chivers road opposite Strawberry fields, Sainsburys , Withersfield Hollow Hill Junction, Steeple Bumpstead ,Fox Green Great Bradley, Hadley Road Burrough green but these will be dependent on the demand for September 2017.
The approximate cost for this service this year is £380 per student. This equates to £10.00 per week, compared to a Stagecoach weekly pass which is £24.50 (2016 prices). The Bus company charge the school directly for the full years transport we then pass the “cost price” to the parents to be paid in instalments as agreed.
A full timetable will follow when we can confirm demand but this year they are Haverhill bus station 7.30am, Sainsbury’s 7.35am, Chivers Road 7.40am Steeple Bumpstead 7.15am Withersfield Hollow Hill Junction 7.38am Fox Green Great Bradley 7.15am Hadley Road Burrough Green 7.38am.
